Lecture notes: Entry and discrete games II

چکیده

As we will see, in this simple entry game, multiple equilibria are a typical problem. A literature has pointed out how, typically, the possibility of multiple equilibria in the underlying game leads to the partial identification of the structural model parameters.1 This means that there are multiple values of the structural model parameters which are consistent with the observed data. Econometrically, the estimating equations in these types of settings typically take the form of “moment inequalities”, and a very large literature has developed regarding inference with moment inequalities. These lecture notes will cover these topics.

Factors affecting students tendency of Univercity students to Lecture Notes

Introduction: Many studies detected factors contributing to the students’ tendency to lecture notes. This study aimed at evaluating the factors affecting students tendency to lecture notes in Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this descriptive study, 179 students from medicine, nursing & midwifery, health, and Paramedicine schools were selected through stratified random...

Lecture Notes on Winning Strategies & Regions

This lecture continues the study of hybrid games and their logic, differential game logic [Pla15], that Lecture 20 on Hybrid Systems & Games started. Lecture 20 saw the introduction of differential game logic with a focus on identifying and highlighting the new dynamical aspect of adversarial dynamics. The meaning of hybrid games in differential game logic had been left informal, based on the i...

A Discrete Stratety Improvement Algorithm for Solving Parity Games

A discrete strategy improvement algorithm is given for constructing winning strategies in parity games, thereby providing also a new solution of the model-checking problem for the modal μ-calculus. Known strategy improvement algorithms, as proposed for stochastic games by Hoffman and Karp in 1966, and for discounted payoff games and parity games by Puri in 1995, work with real numbers and requi...

EE291E Lecture Notes 7. Controller Synthesis for Hybrid Systems I: Introduction to Discrete Games

This lecture is first in a series of lectures on designing control laws for hybrid systems. What is a control law? It is a method by which we steer the automaton using input variables, so that the closed loop exhibits certain desirable properties. A control problem involves: 1. A plant 2. A specification 3. A controller Controller synthesis involves coming up with a methodology for designing co...
